The pirith ceremony of the Raddolugama United young Buddhist Association is considered as the most importent and well known event that is held annually since more than over two centuries..
Currently this huge event is successfully occurred with the generous contribution of the community in the area....It is important to note that,this is the first and most challengefull event for the newly appointed office bearers and fellow members of this association in every year...and the success-fullness of such event always proves or represents their dedication,devotion and commitment for this association..
Annual Blood Donation Camp
As the most meritorious event,the blood donation campaign is the second important/ major project of Raddolugama young buddhist association which is continuously held on every year since the beginning of this association.This campaign has been very valuable and helpful for rescuing the lives of hundred-thousand people in our country.

Commemoration of Ven. Gangodawila Soma Thero
Venerable Gangodawila Soma Thera was born in Gangodawila, a semi-urban locality in the outskirts of the capital city of Colombo.Soma Thera was ordained in 1974 when he was 26 years of age under the tutelage of two of the most revered monks in Sri Lanka – Most Reverend Venerable Madihe Pannasiha Maha Nayake Thera and Venerable Ampitiye Rahula Maha Thera. He received training at the Bhikkhu Training Centre, Maharagama – an institution established by these two monks for the training of novices who enter the Order of the Maha Sangha.
